Before our road trip, we had been looking for a new camera- a little more "grown-up" one. Our little point-and-shoot has done nicely, but with the kids activities, it's getting harder to photograph them (especially if they are indoors in a cafeteria setting). Anyway, after talking to a few friends, this was their suggestion. Scott got us a Canon Rebel XTi (10 mp) with lots of buttons. WOW!! This thing is amazing!! We also got the telephoto lense to go with it. I'm not sure what all the buttons are for, but I have a DVD to watch just so I can learn how to use it. I think I will still enroll in a photography class to be more effeciant than what the video has to offer. I got some great photos on the road trip (scroll down to see some of them) and am looking forward to having the time to use this amazing contraption.

My new toy :)

I am in love with your camera. I would like to budget for one...maybe not one with all the bells and whistles, but a nice one anyway.
