Okay, so I taught dance for 6 years, taught pre-schoolers in my home for 10 years, have my own 3 babies, worked rehab with the elderly for 18 months, been a Primary teacher at church for too many years to count, taught life skills and was an aide last year in a kindergarten class. After all of that, it finally hit me after 37 years, I'm supposed to be a teacher!!! "I KNOW, go figure!!"
I have an appointment to talk to a college advisor on Sept. 25, and I'm very anxious. I would be going to the University of Cincinnati, Batavia campus, then transferring to the UC campus in a few years, working towards my ECE. After looking over my transcripts, I should have at least 7 classes that will count for something, not much, but it's a start. I have a lot of questions, but will most likely start the winter quarter. (Fall classes start TODAY!!) Part of me keeps trying to talk myself out of it, with my family obligations and the time commitment, it WILL be crazy. A bigger part of me says it will be SO worth it. People change careers all the time at my age, so that's what I'm doing. My goal is that I would be finished by the time Makenah is a senior. If it took a little longer, I would need to be okay with that too. I'll keep you all posted!!

In my Future???

Love the new look!! I am so crazy excited for you. I will be an amazing teacher and what a great message to your family...it doesn't matter what age you are, it is never to late to follow your dreams!
