End of the Year H.S. Band Concert

The same night that Madisen had her band concert, the H.S. students had their concert as well. We (the parents, sibblings, friends, and loved ones) got to enjoy the evening of students playing, all while being squished like sardines on the bleachers in the gym. They combined concerts with 6th, 7th, 8th, H.S., and symphonic, and a few other bands. Makenah did a nice job with the flute, and even though she has a love/hate relationship with the vibraphone, she will always go back to playing the "vibe". All in all, it was a great night to get out and support our students. You can hardly see our small Makenah, but she is there with a smile on her face. Did you know that "Makenah" in african means "happy one". I remind her of that all the time!

Makenah is playing flute (you can't see her in this photo though).

I started noticing the flags through my long-distance lense -look at the dates! This is one old school!

Oh Makenah sounds so pretty! And if it has a meaning behind it, that makes it even cooler!
